Boreal Gateau brings high-end, artisanal ice cream cakes to Toronto. The founder and owner, Daisy Ng first came up with the idea of Boreal Gateau in 2020 when searching for an ideal patisserie style ice cream cake for her birthday. The beautiful mirror glaze is what influenced the name Boreal because of the colours and the shape the glaze takes on the cakes.
She has over 10 years of experience in the pastry industry after graduating George Brown pastry program. Daisy's was a pasty chef at Patria as well as Laduree and was most recently the manager of custom cakes at DaanGo Cake Lab in Toronto.
